It was just announced that we got awarded a UBBI-UNICAMP Strategic Collaboration Seed Fund. This award will kickstart collaborations between our lab at UoB and Rafael Ribeiro at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil. We plan to investigate to what degree perennial C4 plants rely on C3-type levels of photorespiration under water-deficit conditions. Most importantly, it will allow scientific exchange between the two countries by allowing Rafael to conduct experiments in the UK and Florian to give a modelling workshop in Brazil.
